A personal comment on the talks about the current wave of terrorism:

Please avoid generalising: This is NOT about "the muslims".
Terrorist cells are extremist groups of what could as well be self-claiming "(mis)representatives" of "any" other group. Generalising in this issue leads us astray, and clutter both the debates and useful common insight/knowledge... Terrorism has nothing to do with "real islam"...

In this particular issue, I think that the most important task for common man to take on as a responsibility for practical resistance, it is exactly this:

-> avoid generalising or relating terrorism to muslims/islam.

Please point this out to any other person that does so, whenever anyone is generalising...

By NOT pointing this out (refusing others' generalisations), YOU are in effect helping the extremists making their false case in suggesting that common muslims/islamists have any responsibility to take part in/for their cause.

One of the most practical efforts of combating terrorism is to prevent the recruitment to the extremist groups. It is therefore imperative to continously remove the foundation for the suggestions that common muslims have any responsibilities towards the goals of extremist groups.
